Download TETHER STUDIO
Download the DMG file. The 7-day free trial includes every feature — no card, no account, no limits.
Note: macOS may show a security dialog on first launch. Right-click the app and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper. -
Install
Open the DMG. Drag TETHER STUDIO to your Applications folder. Double-click to launch. That's it — no installer wizard, no account creation, no sign-in.
The app opens to a dark workspace with a Capture button and an empty filmstrip. You're ready.

Connect Your Camera
Plug a USB cable from your camera into your Mac. Set your camera's USB mode to the tethering option:

You'll see the camera name appear in the header bar within 2–3 seconds.
Camera not detected? macOS may be grabbing the connection. Open Terminal and run:killall PTPCamera ptpcameradthen reconnect. -
Shoot
Press Space to capture. Your image appears on screen in 2–3 seconds at full resolution. That's tethering.
From here:
Rate images — press 1–5 for star ratings, P for pick, X for reject
Zoom to check focus — click the image or press Z
Run Smart Cull — Cmd+Shift+A to auto-analyze blur, focus, and duplicates
Export — Cmd+E to open Pro Export with format, resize, ICC, and watermark optionsKeyboard shortcut overlay: Press?at any time to see all 48 keyboard shortcuts.
